Sun/Spurs: Still Alive Bring on Game 5

What a game! Back and forth and down the wire. Incredible passes, defense and scoring

It was one hell of a game. Ginobili had a cople of insane shots as he always does, Parker had his cuts inside, their bench again came up big. But there was a game named Joe and in the second half Marion showed up and layed some ball. So the Suns finally had more than the that's Amare and Nash show and the dynamic duo more than had their moments in this insta-classic. Nash falling our of bounds with Timmy D on him connects with Amare for a slam and Amare rejecting Duncan' dunk with seconds to go and getting the rebound. The first two game were this close but not every break and bounce went to the Spurs.

Bring on Game 5 Baby!

A shout out to my super fan wife, Elaine who brought me dinner and watched the 4th quarter with me. She rocks!!!

Steven A. Got it wrong

Steven A. By his own logic got wrong it last night talking about why people who voted or Shaq as vindicated . Steve Nash and Amare were the Suns keeping it close. Steven A said it it was Shaq those two close losses are wins but Shaq team blew through the Wizard (the way the played doesn't qualify them to be called Bullets, maybe next year) while Shaq sat. The MVP always go to a great player on good to great team. We all saw what happened when Shaq and Steve sat. Without Nash who knows if the Suns make it to the play-offs. I doubt they make it out of Round 1 and there is no way they beat the Suns. Maybe it will be like 1999 when the Spurs swept the Lakers and went on to win the chanpionship. The next year the Lkers went on to win the championship. The Suns made amazing strides because the played team ball with Nash orchestrating and setting people up. They just got outplayed by an amazing Spurs playing unbeleivable ball. You literally need to play perfect ball to beat them and they haven't managed to do.
One more thing, given some of the controversy of the choice points to the underlying reason that guards almost never win the MVP.
I'm not hatin' Steven A but it's what you say not how loud you say it.
Cheers.

Back and back on track, NBA style

There has been a a long delay. But I am back and my picks are back on track. I am surprised Huston didn't beat Dallas after the 2-0 startt but how weird was the whole Yao Ming-Ref-Van Gundy conspiracy with Stern threatening to end Jeff's tenur as an NBA coach and like a Newsweek source it's retracted.

I was in Great Britain for the end of the first round and a beginning of the second round.

So I missed the Chicago series as well and talked about folding. Washington Bullets (Sorry after their two finals meetings with the last seventies Soincs, they'll always be Bullets) blew and we crushed and posterized by Dwade. Talk about a supporting cast.

The Suns-Mavs series was classic. I could have watched it forever. The Soincs-Spurs was quite the series and almost went to what could have been an insta-classic game 7 if Ray's .5 second three pointer falls. The Sonics need to resign Ray and Nate in the worst way now. The Soncics played above their heads and with all heart. With the exception of Fortson grabbing Ginobili's face it was all good. After that Nate pulled him for good. How money was Ginobili. I only wish TNT had done the game so I could hear Charles call out, Gin-ooooo-blee!

Reggie went out full of class and hittin' shots. The Hall of Fame awaits. I suspect he'll go in the first ballot. It was a classy move of Larry Brown to call a time out. It was truly a passing of the guards. Hopefully Reg will come back for one more year but I doubt it.

The Spurs-Suns games have been great. Sunds totally jot jobbed by the refs on the Amare-horry tech/no shots foul. The NBA should let the refs from that game hear it. That was a rediciulous sequence and should never happen at this stage of the play offs. Saturdays should be another awesome battle. Joe Johnson, that masked man should return. The Suns were the best road team in the league during the regular season so anything can happen especially with Nash on point.

If Detroit can get going offensively, Miami is done. If not, who know don't go to sleep on Flash, Shaq and Alfred or you'll be going fishin', right Kenny!
